New Year's Day Talent Show Trophy!!!

New Year's Day is less than a month away, which means that some of my closest friends and I are anxiously preparing for our second annual New Year's Day Talent Show. In order to properly build the hype, I felt that a trophy was a must... So in the spirit of the spastic nature of the event I created this whacked out trophy assemblage. I would have loved to make it even crazier, but thought that it should be small enough to comfortably travel with (even though it will probably just come with me back to Pittsburgh! haha)

simple & good magnet!

Some of you are familiar with my philosophy/symbol, simple and good. For some time now, it has helped me keep my priorities in order and reminded me to live simply and to make decisions with positive intentions. Today, I made a magnet of the symbol for my truck in an attempt to spread the thought. It's unfortunate that my bike is too small to get one too!

painting for joe!

I just finished up this painting of good old Pittsburgh for a friend and thought I would throw it up on the good old internet.

Don't hesitate to ask if you'd like a painting. I forgot how much fun it is.

Lawrenceville Streetscape Planters

i was recently commissioned by the lawrenceville corporation here in pittsburgh to design and create streetscape planters for downtown lawrenceville. the brick planters will reference old smokestacks, commenting on the transformation of pittsburgh from an industrial mill city to a forward thinking green minded community. keep your eyes peeled for them in the spring of 2011!!

Completed Kites

Last month I went to Devon, PA to install my kite sculptures for the Wind Through the Trees exhibit at Jenkins Arboretum, which opens October 2. The photos below are of the piece, "Tethered Kites".

Tree Install

So the tree at Community Human Services is finally in...

I still have to create a few ceramic memorial pieces to finish off the project but the installation is complete.

The lobby will soon be repainted most likely with some greens and black trim to compliment the tree and just generally improve the space.
